Social Value

We believe our developments should be a force for good in the communities where they operate. Our longstanding and trusted supplier relationships allow us to maximise the economic, social and environmental benefits that our developments bring to their local areas.

Supply Chain Charter

In 2018, we became the first UK property company to require our supply chain to sign up to our Social Value Charter. This means they source goods and labour locally, where possible and spend time enhancing the local community, including volunteering, working with local schools and showcasing careers available in the sector. We measure the Social and Local Economic Value (SLEV) created by our new build prokects; in our first five years our supply chain generated more than £135 million of SLEV.

Construction Skills Training

The Prologis Construction Skills Programme helps people gain work placements and apprenticeships on our development projects. We partnering with Goodwill Supply Chain Academies who assists in finding suitable candidates. This program addresses the challenge that development projects are often shorter than traditional apprenticeships.

Based at the Hub at DIRFT, the Prologis Warehouse and Logistics Training Programme is a fully-funded training course, designed to give young people, the unemployed and those looking to retrain, the opportunity to gain the skills needed for a career in logistics.

Our people never shy away from giving back to their community and every year, in the UK and globally, we push ourselves to make a positive impact to local communities and causes.

IMPACT Days

We’ve run our global IMPACT Days every year since 2012. Each year, teams from around the world give up their time to get involved in a variety of worthwhile community projects, from creating outdoor classrooms and transforming overgrown allotments into community gardens to renovating and refurbishing community spaces.
