Welcome aboard Lee. Perhaps you could start off with giving us a potted career history to this point?

After finishing my degree in Sport and Exercise Science, I began my working career within Facilities Management with ENGIE, on the EDF Energy Contract. Within my 7 years, I had the pleasure of working on and managing a variety of customers such as the Metropolitan Police, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), HM Courts and Tribunal Services, and finally Southern Water.

Following my time with ENGIE, I moved into a Project Management role with Knightsbridge Property Services Ltd. Using the knowledge and experiences from previous roles, I was able to deliver medium to large scale projects with differing clients (Councils, CBRE etc) on time and to budget.

Looking back over your career-to-date, what would you describe as your career highlight?

I was privileged enough to be recognised within my time at ENGIE as a young aspiring leader, who had progressed well within the business. As a result, I was interviewed by our media team which was sent out across the UK and Europe for people to understand my time within the business and my differing roles.

Having been recognized by the a big business as someone for new starters to look up to in my young career was certainly something I am proud of.

How did you find the interview process to join us at Prologis?

The interview process was extremely smooth and efficient, with a 3 staged approach. Initially having a discussion with the HR department and moving forward speaking with team members and finally a site visit to review a ‘typical’ site/estate. Communications throughout was excellent, I was kept well informed on the next stages/steps going forward.

And now you’ve joined, can you share your first impressions?

First impressions were fantastic, from the first email received to going to the head office on my first day, everyone has been extremely welcoming and made the transition into a new role and business super simple.  I could tell from the first minute that the business felt like a family, and everyone is working together to reach the same goal.

How has the induction gone? Anything you didn’t quite expect?

Induction has been fantastic. It’s been refreshing to speak with varying departments to understand the role they play within the business, and the influence each individual team has to my own role as Operations Construction Manager.

I was extremely happy to learn about the £1 lunches, and that will certainly make the trip from down south to Solihulll extremely worthwhile!

And outside of work, what makes you tick?

Outside of work, I love spending as much time as I can with my wife (Amelia) and Son (Jacob). Jacob is currently obsessed with both Toy Story and Monsters Inc. and I feel I could perform this word for word!

I am also keen on sport and being active, having played football since I could walk. I am also now getting into Golf. I can see the business is great for charity days, and hopefully once settled in, I can start to get involved in some!
