We recently completed the fit-out of DC4 at Prologis Park Wellingborough West through Prologis Essentials, our turnkey warehouse solution.
Led by Danny Bostock, our Essentials Solutions Manager, and in partnership with Visku, the completed fit-out combines decades of experience in solving the most complex of customer requirements. Using a trusted supply chain of solution providers, our collective knowledge is allowing customers to maximise their supply chain capabilities seamlessly.
All the Essentials
At Wellingborough, everything has been taken care of. DC4 is complete with a fully embedded Prologis Essentials Operations offering, combining pallet racking, in-rack and roof sprinklers, LED lighting, warehouse barriers, and a fleet of forklift trucks to provide an integrated turnkey solution.
Supplying the unit with over 70,000 pallet positions, the top of the range racking provides a combination of wide aisle and very narrow aisle (VNA) spaces, providing flexibility for any customer. Embedded within this is our in-rack and roof sprinklers, all of which are in line with LPC regulations.
Turning to energy efficiency, the unit has been fitted with 1,072 luminaire LEDs, designed to illuminate a minimum of 250 lux on ground level. The unit has also been equipped with solar PV on the roof, generating a total 165 kWp of energy and creating a saving of around £65,000.
In addition to this, Wellingborough has its own 14-strong fleet of forklifts, designed specifically to work with the unit and racking systems in place. Warehouse safety has been prioritised with 88 metres of flexible pedestrian barriers, protecting operatives from forklift traffic.
