Honda at ProLogis Park Swindon

The Requirement

  • Honda Logistics UK wanted to re-locate to a new purpose-built facility and needed to move swiftly to take advantage of a break in its existing lease and to be ready for the New Year sales rush.

The Solution

  • ProLogis secured a site next to Honda's existing manufacturing plant, five miles from Junction 15 of the M4.
  • The ProLogis team worked closely with Honda Logistics to develop a 350,000 sq ft distribution centre with 21,000 sq ft of offices that would enhance both the office and warehouse functions and make the company's operations more efficient.
  • Following a 10 month build programme, Honda Logistics was able to move into its new HQ to meet the January sales peak.
